350B Injection Pump issues

Post by JRF253 » Thu Mar 14, 2013 8:47 pm

Last week the injection pump on my 350B bit the big one. The rotor seized and the drive shaft broke.

The pump is a Roosa Master JDB331MD2797. John Deere part number is AR-49899. I've only found 1 for sale and it was rebuilt by D&W Diesel, they quote $1280 without a core.

There is a pump by the model number of JDB331AL2405, this also has the John Deere part number AR-49899. It seems to be more common and is also nearly $400 less to get.

Is there any reason this pump would not work? To John Deere it appears to be the same pump.

Thanks for any help.

I think you will be okay with this other pump you found. I would take these numbers and go by a Deere Industrial dealer and have the parts guys look them up to be sure. Sense they both have the same Deere part number I think you will be okay. But check with them first to be sure.

I was thinking the same thing, I will have to check when I get back to the farm this weekend.

Thank you for the reply.
