What is the GPM needed for a 6 way dozer to operate??
I need to replace my front pump (not factory) and have no idea what it is now and no name or ID on the present pump. Lift Cyl are 3"X20" on my dozer (also after market).
420 hydraulics
6 to 8GPM should be plenty.
You need to size the pumps maximum output to the top rpm of the engine.
Pumps are sized by cubic inches per revolution,
Cu.in per rev X RPM = Cu.in per minute.
Cu.in per minute / 231 = Gallons per minute.
Hope this helps.
