loader/dozer all in one exist?
loader/dozer all in one exist?
One of the pics on this site in the upper left shows a crawler loader/dozer machine that looks like the best of both worlds. Does something like that exist or is it someone's brain child? Im picturing just whats shown with a removable dozer assembly and the loader would just remain. Seems as doable as pinning on the backhoe attachment in theory.
455G with 9310G hoe
yes they made that as an option i have seen one years ago did not look at it up close and though then that someone had shop built it wish i knew where it is today...i am looking for an out side dozer for 2010 on west coast and i want to make it fit my loader like in the pics
2010 with 622 dozer with mod. 35 ripper and a 2010 with 622 dozer bought in 1969 and a 2010 loader with drott and mod. 36 ripper
Correct, factory attachment, I have the literature somewhere. There were alos dozer blade attachemnts that go on the loader arms.

Shop Built Angle Dozer
My dad built his first 350 widepad loader hoe in about 1980. He bought an almost brand new 350C loader that was traded into Pardee Equipment, ordered a widepad kit, mounted a 9550 hoe and then build an angle dozer to fit. I still remember Pardee salesman coming out to take pictures.
He started with a 350 dozer blade, added extensions (skidder dozer on 1, factory extentions on the other) and then built the angle portion. The bucket tilt function tilts the dozer when angled. The angle function runs of the extra factory loader valve.
Very versatile all in one machine, replaces a loader backhoe, picker and dozer. He build a second one in the mid 80's and they are still both in service today. The work very well for dozing, either clearing right of ways or cleaning up trenches. Also can pack a roll of plastic pipe almost anywhere to put on our vibratory track plows. Well balanced, can doze very well with the hoe on. Can never remember ever removing the hoe attachment on the job site. These go to work before our 350C, 450C and 450G dozer hoes. They do a very nice job on clean up.
I would recommend that anyone wanting to doze with a loader machine to build one of these angle dozer attachments. I cannot remember every breaking a cylinder or doing any repairs on the dozer attachment, other than replacing some hoes. If we were to build another one, it would be the identical design.

Re: loader/dozer all in one exist?
I just posted one for sale a few minutes ago... It's a John Deere 350 with the Logging Forks, Quick Attach Blade and a Light Materials bucket to go with it... I've not converted the bucket over to the quick attach yet, but it's only 4 pins anyways...jhubert wrote:One of the pics on this site in the upper left shows a crawler loader/dozer machine that looks like the best of both worlds. Unfortunately, I need to sell it for financial reasons.... It's pretty much Loaded and in really good shape. Heres a pic just to give you a taste,
Enjoy!

Yes, it just pins in place with a big 4" dia pin, then a few pins on each side about a foot or so off of center to control the rotation of the blade. This is the 72" Dozer blade... The light materials bucket is actually from a different dozer... but it came with it when I bought the 350 a few years ago. The first pic is as I purchased it... I figured I'd used the light materials bucket to make a 3 in 1 out of the dozer blade, just haven't gotten to it.jhubert wrote:Now that is cool. The forks flip up out of the way and the other pc just pins in place? Is that the blade or light bucket you speak of? Looks kinda thin to push trees over with! I bought my backhoe attachment in IN. Maybe thats where all the good toys are stashed. LOL
The Blade itself is close to 600 lbs maybe... Pretty stout. replaceable cutting edges, the hole nine yards... Overall its a VERY versatile machine... Shame I need to find a new home for it though... For sale locally for $9500, but to forum members here I'll let it go for what I have in it at $8500 (Because I know it will go to a great home no matter who on here gets it!)...
We in Indiana can get very creative with our toys!

There is currently a small Chinese machine that is both loader & dozer.Saw it at a Field Days last October.
I own a Japanese crawler loader that has holes in the boom, where long rods or tubes can be fitted to raise/lower a blade fitted under the bucket.
My only problem with this idea is stability...having a bucket up in the air as you are dozing leads me to believe that this is a good idea only on reasonably flat ground.A few of the small Jap machines of the past used this idea.
