Pretty nice looking crawler.
How many do you have, it looks like I see one with the side boom and another dozer, plus maybe a 420 behind it or something.
You have a pretty good collection.
Do you know what's wrong with the engine?

Crawler is sitting at my place, (well at the farm, not here), so those are my brothers and mine in the background.
Engine is stuck from sitting.

Most of it is my brothers, some is stuff Dad bought, tractors only, some is stuff he farmed with many years ago, some he bought in later years for fun.

This is exactly the crawler I'm looking for, just a little far to truck it up to Edmonton, Alberta. Have a 253 ready to drop in it as well.
My dad has the sideboom mate to the one in the background. It's a gas unit with a reverser and needs 1 steering clutch rebuilt.
Not sure why I like the 440's so much. Hope to finish mine own Dozer machine of this winter.

I bought this crawler for myself several years ago, and was going to restore it within the next couple years for myself. Like Brent says, circumstances change, and I found that I would not have time anywhere in the near future to work on a crawler for myself, so I sold it to him. It is still out at the farm, has been stored inside since I bought it, resting comfortably with all the other crawlers. If I did not consider it a very viable candidate for restoration, I would never have kept it whole, I would have killed it. While it is ugly as sin, some of the components on it are as nice as I have ever had, hence why I had originally kept it.
As fas as costs, I really can't answer that, as I don't necessarily look at it in individual terms. If I had restored the crawler for myself, it would have gone down to an empty trans case, and been built back from there as a total rebuild and restoration. Doing things this way are substantially more expensive than repairing an individual part or component/s on an as needed basis, and there are probably things I do that no one else would waste their time or money doing.
