This would be an indication of lack of lubrication in the rollers, causing them to stop rolling. My guess is that the inner roller surfaces are also "flat spotted" which exacerbates the issue.

LOL, yeah now looking back at the post it is pretty funny. When I post from work (I'm an engineer) I tend to use words I wouldn't normally use elsewhere.
