I have a rare 40 crawler that I want to sell. Trying to get a feel for the value. Its a 1953, serial # 40-C 62263, 3 roller, PTO, with hydraulics, 6 volt, all original, ran well then parked two years ago. Featured in Antique Power May/June 1999. Pictures on request.

So you want to sell it, or you want a feel for it's value? If you want to sell it, you should already have a price in mind. There were over 2,000 3 roller crawlers built, not at all rare. As far as value, $2500-$3500 will cover 95% of them.

40 crawler for sale
Thank you for your reply. I am lookng to sell the tractor. What features would make the 40 more collectible? My uncle's father was the original and first owner. He used it for disking the hills in Livermore California for growing hay on his cattle ranch.

Hi,
On a 3 roller, a 3 pt hitch. All fuel also comes to mind. I can't think of anything else at the moment, though.

Can't use 3PT on a 3 roller, PTO shaft is non-removable and back cover is different.
