Hello, we are in central California foothills and we have 1976 jd350 crawler and we are looking for the backhoe attachment. The bucket works and there are rippers at the back. Mechanic said we are currently not using the PTO which is covered at the back of he machine.
Thank you![/img]

If you do not have a factory hoe crawler, it is more than just acquiring a backhoe. You won't have plumbing, diverter and larger hyd pump necessary to run a hoe.

Determining if its a factory crawler/Hoe
We just moved to this property and the mechanic was able to get the 350 running with a new starter, battery and spider web patrol. So, it has a bucket and ripper and back and a hole that the mechanic said was for PTO accessories. I'll try to get some photos to upload.
Can anyone tell me based on finding serial #'s on the this little beauty if there a way of telling if its possible to add the hoe portion or if it came from the factory that way.?
Thanks! Dawn

Here is what our 350 looks like. I think it's a 76 because at the top of the cab is a mfg date of 03-22-76 listing gwv at 18k. I'm having trouble reading the serial # under the seat where you feet rest. It's pretty painted over.

Interesting, bolt on grousers, occaisionally, on the left track only. I sure believe I would not count on that roof as a ROPS, limb deflector only.

After looking at the 350 parts book it looks like the loader only used a 23GPM pump and looking at the 93/95 hoe parts book you would need a power beyond fitting a few other fittings and hoses and a hoe ... SO i would say that you should be-able to with out any problem (except finding one) put a hoe on that treefity
2010 with 622 dozer with mod. 35 ripper and a 2010 with 622 dozer bought in 1969 and a 2010 loader with drott and mod. 36 ripper
