During replacement of my steering clutches and freeing up all the rusted linkage I discovered that my housing had a crack right through the threaded housing to frame bolt hole running another 4" into the case. I had the case "professionally" repaired. When I got it back I noticed the plug material that sealed the bottom hole under the throwout bearing shaft is missing.
What was that? Is it some sort of epoxy just to keep water from infiltrating? The shaft must move in that bore so it can't bind to the shaft.
JB weld?

It is a flat freeze plug, should be current from Deere, or any auto parts house.
