Looking for info about this track pad.

I know its for snow and they are off a 52 MC. what I don't know is if they were used on the Lindeman or early 40? I have searched the internet and haven't seen another set like these with the raised center section around the hole. Are they rare?

Snow pad for lineman and mc, never used on a 40. They are listed in the MC parts catalog. Got a set on an MC in the set.

Ok, so the early 40 never had the stamped pad right?

IIRC, the Lindemann style pads changed over for the last year of MC production. But it may have been earlier.

This is what I recall. Unfortunately, I have not the parts catalog for the MC, which would show the changeover serial number. From that, one could go to the FAQ on this site and figure out which year the changeover occurred...

I can say that I have seen more MCs with the later pads than the earlier ones. I often wonder if the pads wound up changed by owners back in the day, though.

Very late in MC production, somewhere in the 19,XXX serial number range if I remember correctly they changed to the 40, 420, etc pads.
