What is this?
Can anyone identify this machine by sight? I could not find any data plates or factory markings anywhere. The guy I bought it from said it was a Stowe roller. Anyone have any idea how old this thing is? Engine runs great. I believe it's around 10 hp from the jug size. I know a lot of you guys have been around all sorts of machines. Just hoping someone would be able to recognize what this is on sight.
If nothing else, you can't beat the industrial size cooler on the back.
I'll never go thirsty! 850' of driveway is a long way to crawl on one of these things. Thanks.

LOL at Lavoy's comment!
I looked on the 'net for a Stow roller, and I found a couple of links with pics- they do look like a similar design although the ones I found seem newer than yours. Apparently Stow Construction Equipment has been around for 100 years or so but has been bought out by Multiquip.

Thanks for the replies guys. Lavoy was the first to pick up on the major design gaff! The way I see it, I'll just leave it there so when the wife sees me rolling along she won't ask why it's there. Of course, after a half dozen trips up and down the driveway she might wonder why I'm in better spirits than when I got started. Anyway, I guess this unit is older than I first thought. It's kind of funny in a way, the first unit I looked at was a lot older looking than this one. It's just that when the guy showed up for the sale, he had this one loaded on the trailer and offered me the same price so he wouldn't have to unload it. This one had the bigger motor and a cooler... , a definite no brainer. It was slipping in forward but has terrific pull going backwards. After taking the cover plate off I was able to figure out how to tighten the forward clutch pack. Now she'll climb a mountain! Simple mechanical devices for simple minds. Thanks again.

Hi,
Yep. That's the problem, all right. It needs to be filled with beer and hooked up to the operator, who, if he drinks that much beer, will be Hot Mixed for sure!
