450B winch cable
450B winch cable
Anyone know of a good place to get winch cable, a hook that slides on the cable and chokers at. Thanks

There must be a forestry/Logging supply store near you. One we have in Maine and New Hampshire is Labonville. Their home store is in Gorham, NH and they have a website. Their on line catalog will give you pictures and the typical names and details of the gear. They will ship but I don't know how economical it will be to ship those items from NH to NC. There are many other places around here that sell the gear you ask about including about all the forestry/construction equipment dealers. Many rigging supply houses will have those items as well. Your winch should use straight cable (No special end swaged on to anchor in the winch). There are different ways to have a stop on the working end; swaged button/knob, grab link with thimble and ferrule are a couple; you need to choose. Sliders, grabs, chokers (cable or chain) are all up to you. You likely know this but the 3325 winch can use 1/2", 5/8", or 3/4" cable (they don't list it but it can use 9/16" as well). Use a good quality cable as the winch can develop around 15,000 lb. line on a bare drum. There are some new synthetic ropes being used now as well.
