HI fellow crawler friends, anyone have any info on where to get a engine overhaul kit(sleeves, pistons, gaskets, and bearings, for the 2-53 diesel...seen a kit on ebay, but not sure if thats my only source. My crawler compression is low, and between everything else, I need to freshen up the motor.planing to remove the engine completley from frame to replace main clutch, can this be done with my loader still attached to the crawler.....440icd..........Mark /CC

Engine can be removed with the loader attached. You will have to remove the grill and radiator and then you can get the engine out. I had my engine out last year. Bucket was annoying but you can work around it without too much problem.

Lavoy,
You sell the piston and liner kits for the 2-53 Detroit diesel?
How much for a set?
I want the new style S series I believe, (more compression)
Thanks
Scott

You want the N series, not S series. The kit I sold had everything in it, so was more money. If all you want is the liners, I can check on price. Send me an e-mail if you want, and I will check more on Monday.
