350 B root plow

Post by mblair441 » Wed May 29, 2024 9:44 am

I have a ripper set up on the back of my 350 B. Has anyone ever seen or had any experience with a root plow setup that could be installed in place of the ripper shanks rather than removing the entire ripper, which is somewhat of a chore?

Done that for my 40C with home made ripper. Used Zamboni blade welded in Vee shape and pivoted in each shank so it could pull up without strain. Grandson used it on his 350 and it works but you only use it for a known root as it takes too much power to leave it down all the time to cover an area. Mine was 18" wide. Used hot rolled 3/4" x 5" for shanks but they couldn't stand the strain. Gotta use cold rolled.
