Any way to cross reference to every known bearing dimension??

Long shot.... used bearings? Not sure if it is better than nothing but....

clevite shows...same diameter mains for 2014 thru 2018 silverado 1500..as ours

dont know how to get rest of dimensions...i have actual dimensions of what is needed as follows:

#1 needs 1.836 wide

Thrust between shoulders 2.093

Outside of shoulders 2.275 up to minus .005

main shaft 2.386

If needed can get crank to match diameter of bearings

They do not manufacture anything, so they are out of stock just like everybody else I would assume.

Try Egge machine company , in California. They might have, or can make bearings. Dont know the contact number, but they should be on line now.

Lavoy,

What engine will fit the 420s??

Will any of the 440 gas work ok???\\

The ongoing SAGA continues...

Does ANYBODY have a good used resonably priced 2 cylinder gas engine to fit my 420?
I would certainly like to get this thing up and running and out of my way in the garage...

Once again I checked and now they saying Mid December for the mains..no response to the machine shop either!...AS IF!!!

PM me.

There is no known delivery date for main bearings, the people you are talking to have no idea what they are talking about, they are only guessing. The delivery date has been August of every year for the last 2 years, now they are just telling you December. Your machine shop is never going to hear anything, they are talking to a Clevite jobber, and Clevite has discontinued these bearings, and no longer catalogs them, so it is highly unlikely they will ever hear anything.
All two cylinder gasses will fit, but depending on engine, you will need to change a lot of other parts.

Well then...another question...

Does anyone have a used crank that will fit the .010 bearings-- i have a possibility of one set of used mains for this size..my crank will fit the .030 mains but have not located bearings as yet....

getting down to me wanting to use my old mains and see how long they last....maybe try to refurbish somehow ????

send me a PM

Gaspumpsam,

What size bearings do you have...i need .030...do you have good crank to match yours?

And am seriously thinking of putting my old ones back in....only thing that will happen is either crank gets woen or bearings go..
