cylinder fix
Hello !
Here is my next step in learning to put back my 350 back to life ,
fixing 2 leaking cylinder, I will try by myself before giving it to a cylinder shop.
here are my first attempt :
Removing the lock nut
pushing down the rod stopper to be able to remove the snap ring
removing snap ring
pulling out the rod assembly

here is some update
1- fixed my tilt cylinder booth ( leather )
2- remove lift cylinder from dozer
3- remove lock nut and rod guide ( look at the set-up for removing )
4- rod dis-assembly

another set of pics
1- all cleaned properly
2- kit all set-up in order
3- ready for field test
back-up whasher( rubber) top
o-ring bottom
(make sure they are not twisted)
back-up whasher( rubber) top
o-ring bottom
(make sure they are not twisted)
cylinder wiper
rod-guide back on shaft
back-up whasher towards threads
then o-ring
(make sure they are not twisted)
large seal first V shape toward flange
the last seal has a flat back shape (so it seals when we put back the piston) opposing to the others that has a groved shape so they fit togehter
rod-guide back on the shaft
O-ring (make sure it is not twisted)
piston
nut back on ( torque according to whish cylinder you do)
rod and rod-guide back into the cylinder
push down the rod-guide far enough to be able to insert the snap ring ( not too far cause you need to put back the lock nut and you need threads on the ro-guide head to do so )
you are then ready to test an then re-install !!
