The clutch does work fine, you just have to reach down with your hand to pull it back to the home position. Im hoping if I use it more on a regular basis it may correct itself
350C Stiff Clutch
350C Stiff Clutch
The clutch on my 350C is extremely stiff. Owner prior I don't believe ever uesd it. I put an extra spring on the pedal to try to get it to return to the home position, didn't do much. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and suggest a possible fix ?

The clutch pedal pivot is rusty, need to free it up somehow. Pull the platform, it will be easier to see.

I thought that as well. I pulled the plates and applied a degreaser (there was evidence dirt/grease etc ) I than pressure washed the area. Next I used a fluid film hoping that it would creep and hopefully free it up. No luck.
The way it is designed it doesn't sound like anything internal could make the clutch stiff ?
I was hoping someone else had a similar condition and what they had done to get it to free up. Maybe try heat ?

Real pain in the ass to work on, not even enough room to get the pedal off I don't think. You can try and drill an oil hole, or use a drive in grease zerk to get some grease in there. If you could move the pedal out even a little, you might be able to clean the rust off the shaft some.
